YoY Increase in the Local Price of Peruvian Fuerte Avocado in November 2022

During November 2022, the local price of Fuerte avocado in Peru increased by around 20% compared to last year (Nov-2021). In W46, the wholesale market price is USD 1.90/kg, and in 2021 it was USD 1.50/kg. The most common variety consumed in Peru is green-skin Fuerte. However, a reduction in the volume exported of this variety caused a price increase. In 2022, the Peruvian avocado Fuerte price is not competitive.
