Indian Yellowfin Tuna exporters are facing a slowdown in demand from Vietnam in 2023, with Vietnamese buyers favoring Indonesian origin due to lower prices and better quality. This shift has led Indian exporters to reduce their prices. In Oct-23, Yellowfin Tuna loin prices (CFR Vietnam) dropped to USD 5.10 to 5.40 per kilogram, compared to USD 5.60 to 5.90/kg in the same period in 2022. Despite the price reduction, demand has not improved as anticipated.
