Low Offered Supply of Paraguayan Chia Seeds in W41 Will Affect the FOB Price

Large industry players and growers in Paraguay have been saving their chia seed supply, making it difficult for buyers to close deals on the required volumes. The FOB price for Paraguayan chia seeds stood at USD 2,150-2,250/mt in W41. Forecasts indicate the low supply will cause an increase in the FOB price per mt of USD 100-150. The United States and Europe have not been able to import the same volume as in previous years as Paraguayan chia seeds supply is not available.
