Turkish orange harvest this season has been not as fruitful as in previous years due to the weather conditions causing the supply drop. Combined with the relatively low yield, the high domestic demand has pushed the orange prices 20% - 25% above the previous year's prices.
As a result, some Turkish exporters started to source from Iran where they can source the products at around 25% cheaper than domestic growers, which helps them to stay more competitive in the export markets.
