Malaysia plans to slaughter 3,000 pigs due to African Swine Fever

African Swine Fever arrived in Malaysia, more specifically on the island of Borneo. The disease has been detected in at least 300 pigs in three districts (Pitas, Kota Marudu, and Beluran). The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries said that about 3,000 pigs living in the region will have to be euthanized as a measure to contain the disease.
