In Peru, the mangoes are usually grown in hot weather, and the season always starts in August as this allows the mangoes to reach the 7.2 Brix grade. The harvest begins around W45 or W46 as the fruit will get bigger. In 2022, the hot weather in Peru started at the end of October 2022, causing a delay in the mango harvest to W48 or W49 because the mangoes need to reach a Brix grade of 7.2 for the Korean market. By the start of the current season in 2022, the fruit will be smaller, tending to sizes 9, 10, and 12. By the middle of the season, the sizes will get bigger around sizes 7, 8, 9, and 10.
