The Guatemalan Ministry of Economy (Mineco) authorized the import of an additional 4.3K metric tons of black beans to cover the consumer demand in the country as the national production is insufficient. The increase in the import quota will help stabilize the local bean supply and prices. This year, the total authorized bean imports under a 0% tariff correspond to 11,800 metric tons.
