Moldova Continues to Experience Declining Onion Prices in W39

In Sep-23, wholesale prices for onions in Moldova decreased by 10-17% to USD 0.22 to 0.27 per kilogram (kg) (MDL 4 to 5/kg) due to a massive supply of low and medium-quality onions. The European Union (EU) market was saturated with Eastern European and Asian onions, indirectly affecting Moldovan onion purchases.
