The ongoing Morocco Ribbonfish (Lepidotus caudatus) catching season is progressing well, ensuring a sufficient supply to meet current demand. The upcoming trawl net catch fleet is expected to provide diverse Ribbonfish HGT (headless, gutted, and tailless) sizes, including 300-500g, 500-700g, 700-900g, and +900g. Prices are projected to remain stable until the season concludes at the end of March, ranging from USD 3.04 per kilogram (kg) to 3.58/kg for different size categories (all prices CFR EU main ports). Notably, Japan and South Korea, the primary buyers, preferred whole fish, particularly in smaller sizes (300/500g and 500/700g), and hooked catch (grade A quality).
