Salutiana oranges in high Brix are holding export for long transit time. Fruits with a high percentage of Brix are good to buy from shelves with a short consumption period because with prolonged transit time, high Brix increases the causing of mold. Now that the Salutiana oranges are about to reach the end of the season and suppliers are preparing for a new season of Maroc Late oranges, exporters prefer to work on Salutiana for only a short transit time because of high brix reaching 14%. Exports to Canada and USA are declining because of possible mold claims after arrival.
