Uganda, through National Agricultural Research Organization, has developed a product that reduces pre-harvest aflatoxin contamination by 80% according to the trials conducted by the institution's scientists. This is a relief, especially to maize farmers and exporters who have faced numerous bans on exports to neighboring countries due to high aflatoxins in maize beyond the recommended international levels.
