The strawberry season has started in New Zealand. Domestic prices are at a high level and most growers are supplying to supermarket chains because of good prices and easier logistics. However, since more and more growers are harvesting, there will be more supply for the export market. In addition, lockdowns in Auckland and Waikato are leading to labor shortages-being a price increase factor.
