There has been a notable rise in the price of sesame seeds in Kenyan market for the past two weeks as scarcity increased, with the FOB price of the sesame seed going from $1250/ton to $1360/ton. Processors and traders are reluctant to purchase a large stock of the product due to high purchasing price from local farmers.
