Germany to Source Apples From France and Italy in 2022

German importers are warning against importing large volumes of apples from outside the European region in 2022. Whereas 2021 saw a relatively large volume of imported apples into a strong market, German importers do not expect this to repeat in 2022 as France and Italy are both expecting good harvests this season. Also, due to continued global supply chain disruptions and a decrease in production in Brazil and Argentina, importers expects prices for imported apples from these markets to rise significantly.
