Although Pakistan is one of the largest producers of pine nuts worldwide, the demand for Pakistani pine nuts is seeing a decreasing trend. The major reason for this is the high production cost combined with inflation and currency depreciation. With an average selling price of $50000/MT, Pakistani pine nuts have become so expensive and out of the reach of buyers that they are ultimately switching to cheaper pine nuts options from other countries.
