In Italy, the fishing sector is experiencing a positive trend due to favorable weather conditions that have not hindered fishing activities, resulting in an abundant catch of bluefish, particularly little tunny, leading to competitive pricing. In W30, the average price for little tunny stood at USD 3.78 per kilogram (kg), reflecting a 10% year-on-year (YoY) decrease due to a 15% increase in fish caught in Jul-24. Other bluefish varieties, such as anchovies and sardines, are priced at USD 4.33/kg and USD 3.46/kg, respectively.
