Delayed shipments of inshell Chilean walnuts into Turkey and India in September-October 2021 clashed with the new crop harvest in the U.S. Impact U.S inshell walnut exports January-February 2022, was down 45% YoY in Turkey, down 83% India, down 18% overall. New-season crop in Chile is 170,000 M.T up 17% YOY.
6 April 2022 LHP 60% FAS California USD 6.0/kg LHP 60% Chile USD 7/kg but expect parity from Chile towards the end of 22 April. Good time for Buyers to make bids for Christmas Walnut demand.
