Indonesia’s Frozen Yellowfin Tuna Loins Price Dropped in W25 Due to Low Demand and Slow Business Activity in the US Market

In W25, the price of frozen yellowfin tuna loins processed into CO-treated loin for mainly the US market dropped significantly in Indonesia. Suppliers in East Indonesia were offering the product at prices as low as USD 4/lb CFR to US seaports. This yellowfin tuna price was lower when the price stood at USD 4.5/lb CFR in the previous week. The price drop was due to the low demand from US importers, which was a result of slow business activity in the country during that period.
