The farmgate price of non-GMO soybeans has seen some marginal declines in April 2023 in Ghana. This is due to export restrictions and the tightening of the country's borders to prevent the smuggling of soybeans to neighbouring countries. As a result, the farmgate price of non-GMO soybeans is now, for the first time, lower than the price of corn across Ghana. As of April 18, 2023, non-GMO soybeans were quoted at USD 41.3/100kg, and prices are expected to drop in the coming days.
