Swimming Crab Prices in China Surged by 23.5% MoM in W36

The new swimming crab-catching season began a month ago, but the catch volume has been lower than expected. Despite expectations of a large volume and a significant price decrease, this has not yet occurred in the market. On September 2, 2024, swimming crab prices in Shanghai rose from USD 2.75 per kilogram (kg) to USD 3.4/kg. Similar price increases have been observed in other provinces as well.
