In Japan, white radish seems to have stopped its upward trend and shifted to a downward price trend. In the Tokyo market during W4, its price increased from USD 0.72/kg to USD 0.91/kg. In W5, the price started at USD 0.94/kg but dropped to USD 0.77/kg. During W6, the price remained at 0.76-0.79/kg. Supply from Tokyo’s eastern outskirts sharply increased. White radish from such areas to the Tokyo market rose by 88% in W5 and W4. Those supplies are still stable in W6, and their price range remained at around USD 0.76/kg.
