Production of Cuttlefish and Ribbonfish for Export Will Increase in Indonesia

Fishermen and seafood producers in the Sumatra region in Indonesia have prepared to enter the cuttlefish season. The peak season will last until March 2023. After that, the ribbonfish (large head hairtail) season begins from March to mid-year of 2023. These two commodities are mainly for export. Most Indonesian ribbonfish exports go to China. The production in 2023 will increase, and exporters expect that exports to China will increase in line with the positive developments related to the situation in the country.
