Production of GMO soybean has been authorized.

GMO soybean production has been authorized by the federal government but will be limited to 7 states only, which will be identified in the course of this year.
Also only Monsanto has been authorized as the seed supplier in the country, as the government hopes to decrease the amount of imported soybean.
