Promising market for Indonesian coconut sugar in Ukraine currently at a stoppage

Indonesian coconut sugar producers can still shift their planned export allocation from Ukraine to other markets in Europe. Although the value, volume, and share of total exports to Ukraine are small, shipments to Ukraine have shown a high upward trend since 2019 and have shown more than triple growth in the following year.

According to a manufacturer within the industry, there is a promising market opportunity for coconut sugar and the manufacturer had originally planned to increase the volume of shipments to the market. But with current developments, exports to this market have stopped. Fortunately, the market in the European countries is still showing a positive growth trend that can absorb the existing capacity.
