Retail fresh potato sales hit record growth at the end of 2020

Fresh potato sales at the retail level grew by a record 12% in dollar value during the final quarter of 2020 compared to the October through December period of 2019. The volume increase during this period equated to 8.2%. Sales of one-pound through four-pound bags grew at the highest rate (23%) and organic potato sales during the quarter were up 15%.
