Rising price of dragon fruit on the farmgate level in the East Java province

As the harvest season of dragon fruits in East Java is nearing the end, the farmgate price of this commodity has gone up slightly this week. The current price has been reported to be at IDR 8000/Kg, up from its highest price point in the past two weeks at IDR 6000/Kg. Aside from the local buyers in East Java, a portion of the production output in this region has also been bought and shipped to the neighboring provinces such as Bali and Nusa Tenggara, to be distributed through the traditional markets and modern retailers in the aforementioned provinces.
