The demand for Spanish mandarins continues to be high, and this, together with the shortage in 2023, is causing field prices to rise. The field price at the end of December for the Nadorcott and Tango varieties stood at USD 0.70/kg. This price has been increasing weekly and is currently at USD 1.18/kg in W7. The leafy fruit campaign for export is expected to last another month. From then on, the fruit will be exported without a leaf as the conditions will no longer be optimal to maintain the leaf.
