Norway's Fresh Salmon Exports Up 3% WoW in W33, Prices Drop Slightly

In the W33, Norway's Fresh Salmon exports, particularly in the 3 to 6-kilogram (kg) Superior Salmon category, saw an increase of 698 metric tons (mt), up 3% week-on-week (WoW). Over the past five weeks, fresh salmon export volumes have risen 8% year-on-year (YoY) compared to last year. Furthermore, there was a slight decrease of 0.7% WoW on the pricing front, bringing the price to USD 6.90/kg. Prices are forecasted to remain low through Sep-24, with a potential increase anticipated in Oct-24.
