Supply Shortage in Lebanon Leading to Price Increase

Very few farmers managed to get a small harvest at this time of year in Lebanon. The average production volume is around 400 MT, much less compared to an average of 3,000 MT in the main season. The demand remains high for potatoes since it is mostly consumed in households and restaurants on daily basis. However, as the supply is short, prices are at high level around USD 550 per MT.
