Taiwan's Chinese honey orange or also known as Pokan is a popular fruit in Chinese community during Chinese New Year as it also represents good luck. The pokan from Taichung City of Taiwan is known to have the best taste, and is carefully selected and packed into boxes and sealed to get ready for the Chinese New Year sale.
As of early December 2020, the total export volume is 752 metric tons in 2020, a 30% year to year growth compared to 2019, amid the pandemic in 2020. The destination of Pokan are to Canada, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.
