Canada is importing pomelo from Taiwan

The very first shipment of pomelo from Taiwan to Toronto was loaded and shipped on Aug 12, 2020. It included 6 tons of famous Madou pomelo and 800 kg of Camrambola. Pomelo is popular in the Asian community, as it's a must-have fruit during the mid-Autumn festival. It's not the first shipment to Canada, however, shipments were limited due to logistical difficulties. Taiwan exported 4,900 tons of pomelo in 2019, which included 4,370 tons to China, 395 tons to Hong Kong, and 67 tons to Canada. Taiwan actively promoting to market outside of China, it is reported more shipments will launch for Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.
