The government authority in the Mbeya Region in Southern Tanzania has set aside 100,000 acres for soya production. Mbeya region is among the southern highlands regions that has high production due to fertile soil and high farmer adaptivity to improved farm technologies. A technology company from China is ready to invest USD 200M in soya and yellow maize production in southern Tanzania.
