Tanzanian Cocoa Prices Dropped 6.3% YoY Due to the Fall in Global Cocoa Prices

Tanzania's cocoa prices for the 2022/23 season were low at the auction held by the Kyela Cooperative Union (KYECU) in the main producing region of Mbeya, in the Kyela district, due to a fall in global cocoa market prices. The auction price dropped 6.3% YoY from USD 2.06/kg in 2021 to USD 1.93/kg in W45, 2022.
