Tanzanian Farmers Refused to Sell Raw Cashews at LINDI MWAMBAO and RUNALI Cooperative Union Auctions

Tanzanian farmers have halted selling raw cashew nuts at the first auctions due to buyers' bids being too low. At LINDI MWAMBAO cooperative union, the high bid price was set at USD 0.82/kg and the lowest bid was at USD 0.65/kg. Meanwhile, at RUNALI cooperative union, farmers refused to sell 4,443 MT of raw cashew nuts, with the high bid going at USD 0.95/kg and the low bid at USD 0.64/kg . The next auctions for LINDI MWAMBAO Cooperative and RUNALI Cooperative will be held on October 29 and October 30, respectively.
