Eastern Thailand Offers Competitive Fresh Longan Prices to Chinese Market During W36

During W36, Eastern Thailand has been actively harvesting and exporting its fresh longan crops, primarily to the Chinese market. Notably, the price of Gold-sized longan, which is the most favored in China, is 6.45% lower when sourced from Eastern Thailand as compared to Northern Thailand. These fresh longan offerings are categorized by variety, with Puang Thong from the Eastern region and E-Daw from the Northern region. The prices for Puang Thong longan in China stand at USD 15.49/11.5kg basket for Gold (40%), USD 15.49/11.5kg basket for Red (40%), USD 14.49/11.5kg basket for Blue (25%), and USD 11.16/11.5kg basket for Green (5%) under EXW terms. On the other hand, E-Daw Longan from the Northern region is priced at USD 16.49/11.5kg basket for both Gold (50%) and Red (50%) under EXW terms.
Each container (40ft) carries a quantity of 2150 baskets, each weighing 11.5kg. These prices are effective from September 4th to the end of September 8th, 2023, with a 70/0/30 payment arrangement.
