Efforts to maximize coconut sugar export from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia

A number of coconut sugar manufacturers from Indonesia are now trying to expand their market to Saudi Arabia, following the rising demand for coconut sugar. It is reported that the export potential of coconut sugar has reached 300 MT annually, as the market traction for coconut sugar in Saudi Arabia has risen in recent years, especially from the hotel and restaurant industry. Coconut sugar is seen as an excellent alternative to conventional white sugar due to its lower glucose levels. Indonesian exporters are now targeting to push exports in January 2021 in preparation for the next pilgrimage season which will take place in February 2021.
