The demand for fresh salmon is high in France

Since the beginning of December, there has been significant demand for fresh salmon coming from the smokehouse industry, retail markets, and individuals due to the need for the holiday season. As a result of this strong demand, the weekly price of fresh salmon of Norway origin increased by almost 10%, now at EUR 9.30 per kg (excluding VAT) for the whole 3-4kg piece.
