Following the end of the rainy season in most regions in Indonesia, the price of mustard green has begun its upward trajectory in major traditional markets across Indonesia. Previously, in the second quarter of 2020, mustard green was sold at the retail price of USD 4/Kg (on average), and now the price of this commodity has touched the level of USD 7/Kg. One contributing factor for this rise is the high demand that is not met with an abundant supply of green mustard as the supply of this vegetable is getting lower as Indonesia has entered the summer in early July and is expected to reach its peak in August 2020, whereas green mustard usually is high on supply during the rainy season, especially in February and March every year.
