The Indian Government Raises the Estimate of Foodgrain Output

The Indian government has raised its production estimate of foodgrain to a record 315.7M mt, up by 1.21M mt from the previous estimate in May. Also, the wheat output estimate increased by 0.43M mt to 106.8M mt. The rice estimate this season is projected at a record volume of 130.3M mt, up by 4.75% from last season.
