Logistic transportation in Indonesia will continue to operate during the Eid holiday in May 2021. This new policy is in contrast to previous years in which the authorities suspend logistic transportation during the festive season for at least 6 days. This year the authorities suspend passenger travel instead, to prevent the Ramadan exodus that is at risk of spreading the Covid-19.

The logistic companies benefit from this policy. The cost of logistic usually spike from the start of Ramadan, from the increase of cargos and heavy congestion in the road traffic. Also from the cost of the vehicles that have to be grounded during the suspension time.
