The Price of Frozen Malaysian Durian Differs Based on Production Date

The price of nitrogen frozen Malaysian durian fruit in the Shanghai market differs by its production date. Malaysian Musang King durian with a production date in 2020 is trading at CNY530 per 10kg box. The same product with a production date in July 2021 are trading at CNY1100-1200/box while the latest available products from March 2022 are going for CNY1200-1600/box. Nitrogen frozen durian sales tend to decrease at the Shanghai market from April to September as this is the peak production period for fresh durians. The demand for frozen durian tend to decrease due to the availability of fresh durian fruit.
