The process began in 1995 and was made possible through genetic improvement techniques. These new varieties have already been registered in the National Registry of Cultivars of Argentina and stand out for their quality and productivity.
The creators of the new varieties emphasize that they are easy to handle, it is possible to store them cooled after harvest and their fruits reach a diameter of at least 18mm, without the need to apply growth regulators. Three of the developed varieties have white berries (Esperanza Inta, Resistencia Inta and Grandeza Inta), three gave black ones (Fernandina Inta, Revelación Inta and Surprise Inta), two are red (Serena Inta and Marisela Inta) and one is pink (Delicia Inta).
