To expedite and better accommodate the export of dragon fruit from Indonesia to China, the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia has managed to form a trade agreement with the China Agricultural Products Wholesale Market Association that will now ensure that all dragon fruit exported by the registered exporters from Indonesia would be accepted by the Chinese Ministry of Customs. This initiative is also part of the effort by the government of Indonesia to respond to the high demand for Indonesian dragon fruit from China that has now reached an average of 2 KMT annually since 2018. This deal had also agreed upon the minimum price for Indonesian dragon fruit to be sold at the minimum price of USD 1.7/Kg, hence providing protection for Indonesian farmers from a possible sudden price drop on a global level.
