The North Rift Is Expected to Compete Alongside Central Kenya As the Top Avocado Producer

The North Rift is expected to rival the central Kenya regions as the leading avocado-producing counties in Kenya. Unlike Central Kenya, where farmers have small avocado farms, the North Rift counties have large avocado farms with over 10,000 hectares of land currently under avocado farming. Production is expected to increase due to high demand as new markets such as China and Malaysia open up Kenyan exports.
