The Period of Contracting Specialty Coffee in Ethiopia Is Over for Old Crops

Considering the key months of coffee shipments, Ethiopia moves too much specialty coffee in March, May, and July, and slightly in September. However, commercial coffees will be moved increasingly after May till the following year or January. Many suppliers with specialty coffees who were speculative on the price in 2022 and weren't able to find a reliable market by September will be forced to either export as commercial or sell at a local market. As a result, the price of specialty coffee is falling due to lower demand while the commercial coffee price is rising slightly due to increased demand.
