The government of Myanmar has lifted up the rice export for the last three months. There are international buyers from China and the Phillippines that have ordered thousands of MT per month. However, the supply and production could not meet the demand as the price goes up from USD 450 per MT up to USD 500 per MT in January this year. According to the exporters, it is expected that the price will not go down until the summer crop is harvested in June.
