The readiness of mangosteen for the upcoming harvesting season in Thailand

A total of 990 acre(2500 Rai)of mangosteen cultivating area is located in Chantaburi and Trat province, and it seems that its season will start earlier than last year. Also, It seems that full bloom stage will come earlier than previous season. Thus, their products might be ready to sell around early March.

Chantaburi province is famous for mangosteen, with areas such as Kit-Cha-Ghood, Klung and Ma-Kham. Each farm has their own packing house that can support orders from countries that doesn't need "Vapour Heat Process". For the Japanese/Chinese market, they still need "Middle Company" to handle in VHP - so that they export goods instead of them.

According to the reporter, these groups are able to supply with limited quantity and countries. Therefore, it is important to look for "Premium Market" that is proper for these two groups.
