The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Turkey took an analysis of imported wheat from India at the Iskenderun port. It was found out that the imported wheat has Tilletia indica(karnal bunt), a wheat disease. The disease will result in a yield loss of 30-50%. Deciding that the wheat on this vessel was not suitable for import, Turkey may lose USD 30 million of pasta, 2 thousand containers to export.
