The long drought at the end of 2020 delayed soy sowing for up to two months in the soybean belt of Paraguay. In addition, recent floods in the region of Alto Parana rotted soybean in the field when it was about to be harvested and caused pest proliferation. It has been a difficult season harvest for most farmers in Paraguay.
