Fresh Chilean Atlantic Salmon Fillet Prices Increase by 3.7% WoW During W52 in the US Market

In W52, the prices of fresh Chilean Atlantic salmon fillets in the United States (US) market increased by 3.7% week-on-week (WoW) for the fourth consecutive week. Prices reached USD 5.65 to 5.80 per pound (lb) for 2/3 lb fillets and USD 5.75 to 5.90/lb for 3/4 lb fillets (FOB Miami). This uptrend is attributed to heightened demand during the year-end holidays and a supply constraint caused by delays in arrivals, as air space competition with fruit and flowers to the US market persists.
